You need to have a java-enabled browser to start the factchat. In the normal case you shouldnt have any problems starting the factchat. In case you do however, examine your browsers settings:
MS Internet Explorer:
Click in the browser menu on Tools Internet options Advanced. The following long list look for the title Java VM and select Java JIT compiler activated. Save the options by clicking on Ok. Close all browser windows, and start again your browser.
Netscape Communicator:
Click in the browser menu on Edit Preferences Advanced. There turn on the options enable Java and enable JavaScript, and save your settings by clicking on Ok. Close all browser windows, and start it again.
